What White Glove Moving Actually Includes
The term gets used loosely in this industry. For us it means you do not lift, wrap, or unpack anything, and the crew does not leave until your home is set up and the packing debris is gone.
Full packing with graded materials – Our crews arrive with the boxes, paper, foam, corner protectors, and shrink wrap already loaded. Kitchens, closets, garages, and home offices get packed room by room and labeled so unpacking follows a logical order instead of a scavenger hunt.
Custom crating for fragile and high-value pieces – Paintings, sculptures, oversized mirrors, glass tabletops, and stone surfaces get built-to-fit wooden crates. We measure on site and build to the piece, because a crate that is close enough is not protection.
Disassembly and reassembly – Bed frames, sectional sofas, dining tables, gym equipment, and shelving come apart before transport. Hardware gets bagged, labeled, and taped to the piece it belongs to, so reassembly at the destination does not turn into a hardware store run.
Placement and setup – You tell us where things go. Furniture gets positioned, beds get reassembled and made if you want, and we adjust as many times as it takes before we call the job done.
Debris removal – Boxes, paper, and wrap leave with our truck. You should be able to sit down in your new living room the same evening.
How We Protect High-Value Items
Every white glove move starts with a walkthrough before moving day. We inventory the pieces that need special handling, photograph their condition, note existing wear, and decide then and there what gets crated, what gets blanket wrapped, and what needs two crew members instead of one.
On moving day, floor runners go down before anything moves. Door jambs and banisters get padded. Elevator interiors get covered where the building allows it. Fragile and high-value pieces load last and unload first, so they spend the least possible time on the truck. In Miami, heat and humidity matter as much as impact does, which is why sensitive items travel with the truck sealed and climate managed rather than sitting on an open loading dock in August.
Miami Buildings Have Rules, and We Handle Them
A white glove move into a Brickell tower or a Fisher Island residence involves more paperwork than lifting. Certificates of insurance have to be submitted and approved before the truck arrives. Freight elevators have to be reserved for a specific window, and those windows do not move. Guard-gated communities need advance security manifests with crew names and vehicle information. Some buildings restrict move-ins to weekdays only, others to weekends only.
We submit the COI, book the elevator, clear the gate list, and confirm the loading dock time with building management before your move date. If the building has an unusual restriction, we would rather find it two weeks out than on the morning of.
